Wow, it surely feels great to write these first words here on Elite Klan.
I hope everyone have a great summer going on with everything it can contain but the player break is coming to an end and we all know what that means. A lot of tournaments are coming up and many fantasy leagues with it for us all to take part of.
As said in the announcement, both Esports World Cup 2024 and Tradeit League FE Masters #4 are coming up and we at EK will have fantasy leagues ready with some HUGE prizes at EGOAPP that could be claimed by anyone who does their analyzing right. Since EWC is coming up next, starting 17th of July, I thought I might share my thoughts about it here with all us fantasy lovers out there.
EWC 2024 is a 1.000.000$ Tier-1 tournament that takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We will directly see many of the best players in the world perform and it’s hard to know which teams that will come out swinging after the summer break. Did teams already prepare a lot with new strategies or is this just a warmup tournament? No one really knows and it’s up to you to draft the right players to come out on top in the fantasy league.
What I do after breaks like this is of course look at how the team performed just before the break and if there’s been any changes. For example, M80 just lost their best rated player Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa to G2 and has replaced him with Mason “Lake” Sanderson who is pretty unknown for most of us, atleast for me. That is just simply a downgrade until proven otherwise.
With that said I believe we should inspect the bracket. Im looking at heavy favourites here since the winner of the opening matches goes directly to the playoffs. While losers go to the last chance qualifiers that wont give your players any points since EGO will count the opening matches + playoffs.

It comes to no surprise that I will be making my fantasy draft with players from these teams, but what can we actually cook up? Players from these teams often costs more. Join me while I try to find players with potential good value versus players I would absolutely avoid.
Pick
- ZywOo $222 – Always a top performer with great KD who goes extremely well with the Captain booster (x1,5 points).
- donk $220 – We’ve seen him go absolutely mental many times now and is absolutely an option to ZywOo.
- ropz $209 – One of the cheapest top performers in FaZe
- chopper $192 – A great budget player, on a team that are likely to go far in the tournament
- apEX $194 – Cheapest player on Vitality that for me, are the most likely team to secure a spot in the playoffs and go even further than that
- karrigan $187 – The cheapest player from the heavy favoured teams. Usually doesn’t score a lot but could get decent value since he’s on FaZe
Avoid
- M80 players $182-$195- Will most likely bomb out early from the tournament
- broky $217 – Performed very well before the summer break but is just getting too expensive
- insani $212 – Spending much of your budget on a player that most likely wont reach playoffs could hurt
- n0rb3r7 $193 – I would go for chopper instead, might even go for siuhy aswell even though he’s not a favourite of mine
- floppy $194 – There are simply better budget options
Gamble
- snax $186 – Very cheap and will give you extra room for picking an expensive player. Could cost you though since he’s on a new G2 lineup
- aleksib $189 – Another budget pick but goes up against a new FURIA with the addition of skullz. The odds favour him by a small margin
- Torzsi/xertioN/Jimpphat $214-$217 – MOUZ did amazing before the summer break and if they continue like that, they could go really far
What is really hard for this particular tournament is that we don’t know what the bracket will look like when going into the playoffs. Let’s say you go with two players from Vitality and two from FaZe, they might already play each other in the quarters which is… not good. At the same time, some will get lucky with their players not facing each other, atleast not until the semi-finals.
So, will you go all in on players from the same team and hope to get a lucky seeding in the playoffs? Or will you make a more diversified draft? It’s really up to you and your strategy. Im really looking forward to this and I’ll see you on the leaderboard!
